ASHBURN, VA – Jazz Solutions, Inc. (JSL) announced today the award of a grant by the City of Virginia Beach meant to fuel its expansion into the Defense and Intelligence market.
The unanimous decision by the Virginia Beach Development Authority (VBDA) was reached during an open session April 18 at their headquarters on Main Street.
Earlier this year, JSL announced the establishment of offices at 477 Viking Drive in Virginia Beach. This grant will allow JSL to make capital improvements to those offices and support talent acquisition.
“The support of the City of Virginia Beach is crucial to our expansion plans,” said JSL CEO Kristen Larson. “We fully intend to be responsible stewards of taxpayer funds, as well as demonstrate to our clients and partners that there is a great deal of technical talent in this area. We intend to grow alongside the City and provide high-quality tech jobs. Our successes will be a direct reflection of the confidence the VBDA has placed in us.”
“We are thrilled with the City’s vote of confidence in our decision to establish a business practice here and eager to reinforce the Virginia Beach metro area’s position as a center of technical talent on the East Coast,” said Robert Wedertz, JSL’s Chief Operating Officer for Defense/Intelligence. “We also intend to establish and mature relationships with academia in the state of Virginia to create strong pipelines of technical professionals who want to work and live here.”
“The Defense and Intelligence market plays a critical role in today’s economy, and by establishing offices in Virginia Beach, JSL is boosting our city’s prominence in this market,” said Taylor Adams, Virginia Beach Deputy City Manager and Director of Economic Development. “We are thrilled they have chosen Virginia Beach as a place to expand their company, promote job growth, and support the community.”
